Mr. Rifkin presented a key note address at the Umanotera Civil Society Conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia on May 15, 2006. Mr. Rifkin emphasized the critical role that the civil society plays in the life of a country and urged participants to establish a more formal partnership between civil society, commerce, and government at every level of Slovenia society.

Mr. Rifkin also met with Prime Minister Janez Janša at a private dinner to discuss economic issues, including new energy initiatives and sustainable development projects.
