Mr. Rifkin delivered a key note address at the WDR Europa Forum on Europe's Dream and Reality. The Forum, which was televised on National German TV, also included presentations by Dr.Angela Merkel, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Günter Verheugen, Vice-President of the European Commission, Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz, Prime Minister of Poland, Matti Vanhanen, Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, and Dr. Wolfgang Schüssel, Chancellor of the Republic of Austria and President of the Council of the European Union.
